BJJ training with legendary UFC hero Royce Gracie

You only live once!
When I got word that Royce Gracie was going to give a seminar in Portugal I didn't hesitate and booked the seminar right away. We made it a road-trip as a family. Spicy ride of 2400 km but to no avail. For such exceptional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu occasions I am always willing to do it.

Now of course you are wondering why I would drive 2,400 miles for a seminar. The reason is that Royce Gracie is a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu legend. He is one of the most important figures in the history of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
Winner of the first UFC tournaments and fought people many times heavier, with no rules and time limit.

Het was een eer om van hem te leren. Na 10 jaar jiujitsu trainen zijn het niet zozeer de technieken die voor mij bijzonder zijn. Het is voornamelijk het inzicht en filosofie gecombineerd met ervaring die een legende als Royce Gracie met zich meedraagt.
Deze principes draag ik over aan mijn leerlingen.
